RICHARD GINORI DINNERWARE
This is a venerable old Florentine brand of porcelain that was recently purchased by Gucci and has reinvented itself beautifully. In fact, the original task of updating was given to a (then) little-known Alessandro Michele. We have a few different services and people always comment on them. For me dinner is as much about the environment and context as it is about the food.

HASAKI
210 East 9th Street, NYC
A tiny basement sushi place in Manhattan. I used to go there when I was studying at FIT 20 years ago, and I still go there today with my family. The fish is amazing, and the intimacy and simplicity of the venue feels like a little oasis of calm.

SUMMERHILL & BISHOP
This small kitchen and tablecloth shop is in London, with branches in Holland Park and Belgravia. Their approach to food and family and the ceremony of cooking and eating together jives exactly with how I like to eat at home, and their tableware is really beautifully curated. I recently created a beautiful gold tablecloth with them for a limited edition project.

MERCATO CENTRALE
This is the still functioning main market in Florence. Ten years ago at night it was still a pretty dangerous and rundown area, but now it's a vibrant food destination where you can choose your food, learn how to cook it and eat under the towering glass arches of the market. 

MOON JUICE
My favourite cold pressed juices anywhere.  Shame I have to fly to LA for them ...

MANDOLIN AEGEAN BISTRO
4312 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami
A restaurant in the design district of Miami that makes me feel happy every time I go there. Great food, great atmosphere under the trees and vines.
