Taste | THE BEST THAI + WHY CHRIS MELONI IS like A DOG

shop the post

Oh my god. If I wasn't in beauty, I would be in food. I am a foodie for sure. I just met Gail Simmons at my friend Evyn's house and made sure to tell her that Top Chef is to me what Game of Thrones is to the rest of the world. The stakes are so high! My mother is my main inspiration as she has taught me everything I know and owns every cookbook on the planet.

My favorite dish on earth is a Jungle Curry with Chicken and Sticky Rice from a Thai restaurant in Woodside, Queens called Sripaphai.  Best Thai food outside of Thailand - trust me. But whenever I ate it when I worked at LAW & ORDER SVU, I would get in trouble with Chris Meloni who has a Basset Hound's sense of smell and could sense the garlic on me the next day. So ... beware. Also, I tried to cook it at home and spent $80 buying all the ingredients for the paste, which lasted me 2 days. So it's one of those dishes that’s more economical at the resto.

No food movie trumps Babette's Feast, does it?  What a way to showcase a celebration.

Prune is probably my favorite restaurant to go to on a date with my husband. The food is so good and honest and inspirational. I take a lot of dishes home and rework them as a home cook. And Prune introduced me to the Junipero Gibson which is the most delicious cocktail on the planet.
