Recently I've been obsessed with Pasquale Jones in New York.  The delicious food was rivaled only by the amazing soundtrack, creating not just a great meal but an experience. The pork shank is to die for!

Another NY favorite is always Marea. From the freshest fish to the fusilli with red wine braised octopus and bone marrow, you just can’t go wrong. 

And there’s always the Cereal Milk Soft Serve and the corn cookie at Momofuko Milk Bar.  I was thrilled when they appeared in my Upper West Side hood … a treat beyond all treats.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention two lunches in Capri.  First: La Fontelina Beach Club.  Looking over the Mediterranean, dining on the freshest ingredients and drinking Sangria … there’s really nothing better than that. 
 

 

 

La Conco Del Sogno  might have been even more memorable. The boat ride alone to this tiny island off of Capri and Positano, surrounded by untouched beauty, is heaven in itself.  But then you get to the restaurant, perched over the water with the most charming waiters possible. They will bring you their specialties — no ordering necessary — and nothing disappoints. As my daughters and I boarded the boat to leave, our waiter (Alfonso) stood on the edge of the restaurant’s cliff, sending us kisses!

In Rome I would never miss a dinner at Due Ladroni. I still think about the Saffron Risotto Pancake for its crispiness and subtle flavor.

And then there is Greece…

Dimitri Taverna on Ammoudi Bay in Santorini had the best stuffed grape leaves I have ever eaten, and the colors surrounding you at sunset are incredibly vivid. 
 

Lunch at Panormos Beach Club in Mykonos was also amazing, beautiful and so healthy. The grilled shrimp on a bed of quinoa with yogurt and the grilled octopus served over puréed fave beans were sheer heaven.
