Well, this year I am finally realizing a dream of training for and running in the NYC Marathon on November 8. I am following the NYRR virtual training program for 16 weeks, and keeping my eye on the prize (which is the photo of me at the finish line in my Mylar blanket).

I like to rotate through entire product lines so my hair and skin don't get bored. However, there are some products that have become staples in my dopp kit:

YSL Touche Eclat Radiance Perfecting Pen
I have used this under my eyes for years. And on a trip to Tokyo, I was at Isetan, and a woman there told me that I needed to shift my shade by a .5 (the US market still only had whole numbers at the time) and so I was able to find the exact shade for winter and for summer when I have a little more color. She also told me to make sure to put a dot in each inner-eye corner and behind each nostril. When I remember to do that, it makes a world of difference.

Tom Ford Patchouli Absolu and Byredo Biblioteque Fragrances
I never use them together, but I go through patches of both.

Herbivore Beard Tonic in Cedar + Bergamot
This struck me as one of these fake grooming categories until I actually used it. Makes wiry beards soft. And a very little goes a long way.

Philosphy Microdelivery Triple-Acid Brightening Peel Pads
I do one of these every Sunday evening to prepare for the week ahead.

Apa Lip Loofah
This is the best for chronically chapped lips. It's fun to use and the results are instant and amazing.

Dr. Wheatgrass Antioxidant Rich Skin Recovery Cream and Spray
I found this on Amazon of all places. It is a magic balm that you can put anywhere and see instant results: heals, softens, fades. It's super no frills but it's the real deal and I can't live without it.
