One of the charities I love to work with and support is Housing Works. I first discovered Housing Works when I moved to NYC, they are a non-profit fighting both AIDS and homelessness, they work their butts off to ensure that all people living with HIV/AIDS have access to quality housing, healthcare, HIV prevention, and treatment. A super easy way I encourage my followers and friends to get involved (and this was how I first started) is to do a complete closet clean out once every 3 months and take it straight to Housing works store for it to be resold, all proceeds from these sales help fund housing works and all their hard work.  It can sometimes be a little daunting for people when it comes to ways they can contribute to a charity so I really like the idea that this is a super simple way you can regularly contribute and make a difference.

One of my beautiful friends, Nichole has also just launched this sweater and 100% of the proceeds go to RAICES (Refugee and Immigration Center for Education and Legal Services) which is a nonprofit agency that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees. This is another charity I'm passionate about as seeing how families have been torn apart, children taken from their parents and no one is really doing anything is not only heartbreaking but it also really puts things into perspective and makes you realize how incredibly lucky we are to have basic human rights and a safe environment. The sweater can be purchased from Mrs. Jones and launches at the end of September.
