This summer we visited Scandinavia – Stockholm, Copenhagen, Olesand, Norway and Iceland. I was struck by the physical beauty of this part of the world and how much care is placed on the environment. In Copenhagen, for example, everyone rides their bikes and their harbor is so clean you can swim it. They’ve also lined the harbor with some of the most exquisite contemporary architecture mixed in with the old — it’s quite a spectacle. While there, we visited my new favorite museum - the Louisiana Art Museum (Gl Strandvej 13, 3050 Humlebæk, Denmark). The collection is incredible and the setting on the water with rolling grounds filled with Calder sculptures is truly special. There is also an emphasis on eating locally, and the food — from the bread and butter to the berries and arctic char — is incredible! We ate at NOMA (Refshalevej 96, 1432 København K, Denmark), which is a bucket list experience. And we also ate from the hot dog stands which are plentiful in this part of the world, and I have to say, I’ve never had anything as good as a Danish hot dog! They take a thin baguette and drill a hole in it which is filled with mustard or ketchup and then add a gourmet sausage. You eat it, holding it upright, like an ice cream cone.

My top three favorite hotels in the world and are Laucala in Fiji, Sydney Park Hyatt (7 Hickson Rd, The Rocks NSW 2000, Australia,) and Deplar Farms in Iceland (570 Fljót, Ólafsfjörður, Iceland). They all have spectacular design and food and the settings and service are all amazing.

I won’t set foot on a plane without my BOSE noise cancelling headphones, fuzzy socks and a healthy snack such as raw almonds, a protein bar and/or carrot sticks and a big bottle of spring water.

My packing hack is that I lay out my clothes on my bed and fold them together. I also place all my shoes in shoe bags and use double Ziploc bags for all toiletries. My luggage is Rimowa and to organize all my smaller items and accessories I use Corroon Sungkay Puffy kits. For my carry-on toiletries I use the Corroon I Love TSA bag

You also won’t find me traveling without my La Ligne travel suit, Slip silk eye mask, Corroon monogrammed Big Daddy Bag as a tote, Le Paradis lip balm, Shout Wipes and Miss Oops rescue sponge, an Iphone charger universal adaptor and Melatonin. Up next for me (I hope) are Japan and New Zealand. They’re on my bucket list.
