FASHION | PLAYING DRESS UP

I’ve always loved clothing, and the process of putting together a look. For as long as I can remember, even when I was little, I would dress myself and experiment with different things. Today, I am so lucky that my job revolves around fashion and each and every day I look forward to creating, pushing the limits, and seeing what I can do with my clothing.

For me, there’s no set of rules I live by or anything I won’t wear. I absolutely love vintage pieces, especially bags, I feel like they have such a different charm than bags today do. As far as clothing brands go, I could honestly shop anywhere since I have such a specific eye and esthetic- I just take extra time to look through everything. As far as shoes go, I love Manolo Blahnik, they’re my go-to. I remember growing up and dreaming of owning my own Manolo’s so getting the opportunity to work with this brand on a 4th of July project was really fun.

I truly believe though that you can’t buy style. I think you can look fashionable no matter what your budget. For that reason, I love shopping at places like The Real Real,Vestiaire Collective, and random vintage shops around the city, or any town I’m in! For jewelry, I’m a big ring person, I love wearing rings. I recently bought myself a special ring from The Ring Concierge (if you don’t follow them on Instagram I highly recommend it because their ring stacking game is #goals). I bought myself this rainbow emerald cut ring to commemorate the launch of my very first book, Making it in Manhattan: The Beginner’s Guide to Surviving and Thriving in the World of Fashion.
