I’m not the best cook and it’s definitely not a hobby of mine, so rather than share my kitchen secrets, let me outline some of my favorite meals and restaurants in New York City, because really, the city is my kitchen!

I started hosting a dinner series in New York this past summer for Planned Parenthood. We wrote letters to Congress in support of the organization, which is hugely important to me, and I have to give a shout out to Chef Jean-Gorges Vongerichten who was extremely generous and hosting us at his restaurant Public Kitchen.

Some of my other favorite restaurants and dishes in the city include The Trofie Al Pesto at Pietro Nolita, a restaurant that offers healthy Italian dishes with a retro pink interior. Also in Nolita, De Maria is one of my favorite spots for a quick and healthy lunch.  Society Café located in The Walker Hotel in Greenwich Village is one of my go-to’s for an intimate dining experience – getting a table by the fireplace is key.  Café Clover is another great spot for an intimate meal where the dishes are almost as beautiful as they are delicious, especially the house-made quinoa  tagliatelle.

After dinner, I like to keep the night going with some cocktails.  My favorite is the Nouveau Café Maison with a splash of cold brew at the Soho House for an extra boost of energy into the evening.
