FASHION | LATE NIGHT RETAIL THERAPY

shop the post

I am a late-at-night, 2nd glass of wine, pint of ice cream, shopper. I love the instant gratification and access to some of my favorite British shoe designers, Tabitha Simmons, Charlotte Olympia and Rupert Sanderson from Net-a-Porter, and I am a sucker for the beautiful packaging, so I covet the marbled boxes from Matches.

If I do venture out, I like little neighborhoods where I can find smaller, undiscovered brands. I love Rue Saint Onge in Paris, and would make a point of getting to Paris every other month when I lived in London. There is a small stretch of 10th Street in Chelsea, NYC that houses Story, a theme shop dreamed up by Rachel Shectman, as well as Steven Alan, where I can find my favorite Apiece Apart, Rachel Comey and A Detacher pieces.   I am also obsessed with the new Veronica Beard store in Soho, it is like stepping into your glamourous, eccentric aunt’s living room.  I ALWAYS wear a VB blazer on planes, and I use the sweater zip-in dickeys for warmth and swap out something more edgy when I land.

I am taking my eldest daughter, Harper to Greece this summer, so these pieces are all on my list: Ulla Johnson skirt with a white T and Zara Silver FlatsSaloni dress and Marni chunky heels, Apiece Apart white dress, Zara fringe flats, Corroon white beach tote to run around in Mykonos.
