love Japan! It’s definitely one of my favorite places in the whole world, and I can’t wait to visit again! Tel Aviv was incredible — definitely recommend that. Paris is the most romantic city in the world — I fall in love with it every time I go. I really want to go to the Maldives and I’d love to go to Germany and explore more, my family is originally from there.

MEET | LAUREN WASSER
Featured 11.5-11.11.18 | There’s no doubt that we get to feature some pretty badass personalities on this site, but this week we’ve outdone ourselves with a woman who just might be the most badass of them all. Lauren Wasser is far from your typical multi-hyphenate — yes, this model-actress-activist is absolutely all the things — she’s been modeling since she could talk, was an athlete in training (basketball was her game), and spent many years on the fashion circuit as a true It Girl — but she’s also much, much more. Known most famously as the Girl with the Golden Legs, this is where The Impossible Muse (her Instagram handle, which kind of sums it all up, right?) separates from the pack: After losing both of her legs to Toxic Shock Syndrome, which she contracted in 2012, Lauren chose not to be leveled by her disease, but to use her platform and her personal experience to educate young girls on the real dangers of tampon use, and to work tirelessly alongside U.S Representative Carolyn Maloney to invoke policy change and to raise awareness about a disease that is so often ignored. And she’s not shy about it — she uses her golden legs (which, we might add, are truly spectacular), to show the world that it’s possible to find strength and beauty everywhere — even in places that might feel anything but. So yes, she’s a badass and yes, she’s a stunner, but most importantly, she puts the model in role model. Welcome to Lauren's week.
