MEET | MEAGAN CIGNOLI
Featured 4.9-4.15.18 | Remember MySpace? Gone. Friendster? Also gone. Google+? DOA. Not all social media platforms are created equal, and not all of them succeed. Remember Vine, the short-form video hosting service that allowed users to create 6-second videos and share them? Also dead. Except that doesn't matter so much, because it helped to launch the career of Meagan Cignoli back in 2013. The former freelance photographer discovered the then-groundbreaking app and quickly got to work making videos that garnered so much attention and acclaim that she launched Visual Country, her own agency where she has created video content for everyone from Google to Vogue. And you want to know what the best part of all of this is? She never finished college. Never. Even after studying for six years (in all fairness she refused to take math and couldn't land on a major, so there's that). What she did do, though, was travel. She's been to over 50 countries, she studied in Cuba and has moved 13 times in the 18 years she's been in NYC. Clearly, she's a true mover and shaker and her selects are as colorful as are her stop motion graphics. Welcome to Meagan's week.
