Food is certainly a large part of my life. My family cooks all the time. My dad owns a few different restaurants in the Boston/Rhode Island area, and I am co-owner of one of his restaurants in Rhode Island, called the Back 40 (20 S County Trail, North Kingstown, RI; +1 401 667 4869). It's delicious comfort food, and my favorite dishes right now are the Scottish Salmon (if I'm trying to be healthy) and the Nachos (if it is a cheat day)!
When I'm eating at home in LA though, I love the food at Craig's (8826 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood; +1 310 276 1900) and Catch (8715 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood; +1 323 347 6060) for a fun night on the town, and I love to order from Bossa Nova and by CHLOE.
If I'm cooking at home, my go-to is pizza and pasta or smoothies and juices with fruits and vegetables from the Farmer's Market. Pizza works well when I'm having a dinner party because everyone can make their own exactly the way they like it. I get all kinds of toppings, from different charcuterie selections to eggs and bacon (breakfast pizza) to clams and shrimp.
As far as snacks go, I always try and have a banana and some chocolate with me! Keeping your energy up is so important when on the move — and chocolate can really turn my mood around if I'm fading.
Oh yeah, and don’t forget the Champagne and craft cocktails. My drink of choice is Champagne because it is celebratory. I love entertaining so I like to go all out. Recently I did a full-on Cinco De Mayo feast on my website with everything from sombrero cookies to cucumber margaritas.
