My all time favorite hotel in the world is Phum Baitang in Cambodia. The hotel truly feels like a personal Cambodian hideaway. It is the most magical place to relax in between visits to Siem Reap's stunning temples, all while still feeling rooted in Cambodian culture. The hotel was founded in, and operates with, very strong socially responsible practices, which is something I always seek out when traveling.
During my trip to Kenya, my brother and I went on a safari with Saruni Mara in the Mara North Conservancy. This is another awe-filled experience that is also rooted in socially responsible practices.
