WHERE TO GO
Living in Los Angeles is a dream for two girls from NYC because there are so many incredible nearby destinations to travel to. We love Montecito, Ojai, Big Sur, Palm Springs and Lake Arrowhead. San Ysidro Ranch in Monecito is the most perfect secret hideaway nestled amongst hiking paths with a beautiful view of the ocean. For a more rustic experience, the Ojai Rancho Inn is super cozy. There are a ton of local hiking destinations like Meditation Mount and local faves like Knead Baking Co. You can spend a great afternoon at local shops like Bart's Books, Summer Camp and In the Field.
Big Sur has one of our favorite restaurants in all of California, Big Sur Bakery — a tiny little establishment nestled next to the garage station off of the PCH with the best wine, coffee and food I've every had! That plus a stay at Post Ranch Inn is really a life-changing experience. Lake Arrowhead is so close to LA, about a 90 minute drive towards Palm Springs and then up and into the mountains. It is so cute with A-frame houses everywhere, tall trees, and a very NorCal vibe. Palm Springs is also a super close trip that's so fun with great hotels like the Parker and the Ace.

Another giant unspoken benefit to living in LA is its proximity to Cabo. We have both been lucky enough to stay at The One & Only Palmilla, where we've decided we could easily spend the rest of our days. A lot of that has to do with food - Cabo has some of the most delicious food we've ever had and we always try to stop at Flora Farms and Edith's while we're in town.

WHAT TO BRING
When we travel for work to New York and Paris we have a list of things that we believe make our lives a little easier:
This is Ground's Cord Bandito is the best for organizing chargers and plugs, while their Mod organizer is the perfect place to keep passports, travel documents, pens, keys, change, etc. when on the road.
Organic by John Patrick's sweaters and tees are great for wearing while in transit, and classic Stan Smiths, like a pair of great leather pants, can go from appointments to drinks.
