I’m obsessed with my house in Sag Harbor. It’s small and cozy and 200 years old. With its original floors and beamed ceilings it just fascinates me from a historical perspective. It was so much fun to decorate as I wanted to include more modern pieces to offset its bones. Throughout the process I became obsessed with Madeline Weinrib’s rugs. The one in my living room is chocolate brown with pink accents. It never gets old.

My favorite room would be my kitchen. It was added onto the back of the house at one point and is pretty much all windows with a cathedral ceiling. In the spring and summer, I'm surrounded by green, and in the winter, snow. As an escape from the city, I feel like I’m outdoors when I sit in my kitchen. I used an old bronze chandelier that had belonged to my parents and painted it matte black. It was a great way to have their presence in my house!

Comfortable , warm and homey are words that always seem to be used when friends come to visit me at my house or apartment in the city. That makes me happy.
