I’ve been a longtime ClassPass advocate; I hate to brag or anything, but I was one of the “early adopters” who was on it bragging to my Equinox friends about my cheap membership and ability to get into any class. I mean, things have changed … and fast. But I’m still a big fan! My go-to is FlyWheel. I’m kind of an addict. I’ve even turned our employees (a.k.a. The Metielves) onto it, and sometimes we’ll all go together. I use the app to track my performance and make excuses for excessive athleisure binge shopping by validating my workout schedule. I’m super obsessed with the whole wearing-fitness-clothes-to-work thing. Erin and I joke we’re the least “fashion” industry girls because we’re more sweatpants, hair tied, chilling with no makeup on than Céline and stilettos with a subtle contour on the daily.
My current favorite picks:

I’ve always been a skincare freak (I blame teenage acne and bad Neutrogena commercials), but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more and more beauty-obsessed. My approach is simple: Skin first, makeup second. Glossier coined it, but I’ve been living it since I first found my mom’s makeup bag. I’ve been rocking no-makeup-makeup since the days of Claire’s (if you know this reference, you know what’s up). In all honesty, it’s a special occasion if I’m wearing anything beyond a tinted moisturizer, bronzer, mascara and managed fill in my brows. I’ve mastered the whole 5-minute beauty, but when your daily routine consists of 3 things (sometimes I cheat and use my brow pencil as eye liner and bronzer as eye shadow!), it really shouldn't take you a minute more. Thanks to client research, I’ve morphed into a 15-year-old who goes to BeautyCon and has watched every YouTube video in the game. I’ve gone from someone who worships Jane Birkin and Sofia Coppola to loving girls like Marianna Hewitt and Desi Perkins for their ability to create flawless skin and a perfect contour. I’ve gone from using the same products since high school — NARS Laguna, NARS Orgasm, Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, Maybelline Great Lash, MAC Ruby Woo — to feeling like a Sephora connoisseur. I’m guilty of buying into the whole fancy French skincare and anything a celebrity facalist, hairstylist or makeup artist recommends to me. Skincare is where I make my best investments. The way I see it, proper skincare is basically just a filter before the FaceTune, or rather, makeup. I’m a total guinea pig, but I definitely play favorites. Here are my current obsessions:
• Dr. Jart+ Water Fuse Water-Full Hydrogel Mask
A friend who I deeply trust as she has the most discerning taste busted one of these babies out on a recent flight from NYC to LA. We looked like Snapchat ghosts and scared 90% of people onboard, but my skin felt like I was fresh from a microdermabrasion facial upon landing. Worth scaring the kids!
• Biologique Recherche P50
I used to read about this all the time on Into the Gloss, but never understood the hype and insane price tag until I had one of those fancy facials on the Upper East Side. Fact: I spent $500+ in products post facial and yes, this was one of them.
