BUENOS AIRES | WHERE TO STAY

Algodon Mansion
Montevideo 1647
+1 54 11 3530 7777
The Algodon Mansion is a beautifully restored landmark building with 10 spacious suites that include personalized butler service. Located in the elegant residential neighborhood of Recoleta, staying at the Algodan feels more like luxurious apartment living than clinical hotel stay. The friendly staff, clubby wine bar, tiny rooftop pool and complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres in the lobby will have you feeling like you’re staying at a friend’s stunning home.

Alvear Palace
Av. Alvear 1891
+1 54 11 4808 2100
Opened in 1932, this Buenos Aires institution completed a major renovation a few years ago, adding 15 luxurious rooftop suites, an indoor pool, solarium and stunning roof bar to what was already an incredible hotel. Located in stylish Recoleta neighborhood, it’s a traditional, 5-star hotel complete with top-hatted bellman and white-gloved butlers.

Faena Buenos Aires
Martha Salotti 445
+1 54 11 4010 9000
Located in the dockside Puerto Madero neighborhood, this very cool, terrifically dramatic hotel was designed by famed French architect Philippe Starck. With five sophisticated restaurants and bars (including El Cabaret, home to Rojo Tango, Argentina’s premier tango show), a beautiful adults-only vibe outdoor pool and a full-service spa and gym, this is a spot that provides a tranquil if eclectic oasis from the bustle of the city.

Four Seasons Buenos Aires
1086/88 Posada
+1 54 11 4321 1200
It’s a Four Seasons, so you can expect the classic experience including impeccable service, a buzzy bar, an excellent restaurant with a huge breakfast buffet, outdoor pool and luxurious spa and gym. But this one is in an historic Belle Epoque mansion, so you also get a sense of history and elegance.

Home Hotel
Honduras 5860, Palermo Hollywoo
+1 54 11 4779 1006
This is an intimate design hotel with a hip, cool vibe in the trendy Palermo neighborhood. The lovely, walled garden area holds a small outdoor pool, bar and restaurant that’s a tranquil respite from the busy city. There are several room categories to choose from including two loft apartments that are good options for family or friends traveling together, but make your reservation early as this gem is always booked.

Hub Porteno
Calle Rodriguez Pena 1967
+1 54 11 4815 6100
This intimate boutique hotel (just 11 spacious rooms) centrally located in Recoleta prioritizes warm, personalized service to such an extent that they even offer an Experiences concierge to help curate your time in Buenos Aires.

Palacio Duhau (aka The Park Hyatt)
Avenida Alvear 1661
+1 54 11 5171 1234
The Park Hyatt is grand and gorgeous. It’s a restored historical palace complemented by a modern tower addition that boasts some serious views. It has a similar 5-star experience to the Four Seasons except for the lack of an outdoor pool. Instead, the Park Hyatt offers a large indoor pool in their spa and elaborate, beautiful gardens where you can relax, order a drink and hang out. There are also a few restaurants on site, but our fave is Duhau Restaurante & Vinoteca for an afternoon on the terrace.

Hotel Pulitzer Buenos Aires
Maipú 907
+1 54 11 4316 0800
A refreshing break from opulence, The Pulitzer is more nautical than nightlife with fresh blue and white interiors and a rooftop pool. The rooms, designed by Barcelona’s Contemporain Studio, are small but airy.
