We know, it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but we’re already dreaming about our first warm weather vacay — aren’t you? But before you go, we wanted to introduce you to Florencia Cavallo and Elise Labau Topaloglu, the founders of the curated, vacation-ready site Golden Edit, which sells hard-to-find brands from some of the most beautiful destinations around the globe — from Australia to Mexico, Colombia, Turkey, Ecuador, and everywhere in between. A Perfect Hat That Screams Summer
One of the first things we throw into our suitcase ahead of a sunny trip is a chic sunhat. We love floppy, crochet styles that easily take us from beach to bar, and back to the beach! This one by Greenpacha is super easy to pack — just fold it into your suitcase, and voilà!

Feminine Sundresses
We’ve always loved Matteau’s minimal, luxe swimwear, and we’re thrilled they’re expanding into RTW. This dreamy maxi is what we’ll be wearing on repeat during our Holiday travels. We’re obsessed with its earthy tones, and the style is as perfect for the beach as it is for layering over a chic turtleneck (and under our favorite coat!) in the city. We’ll also throw in a white linen maxi for good measure – we can’t travel without one!

A Delicious Scent
A fresh fragrance that reminds us of summer year round? Yes please! We’ll be packing Sunday Forever’s Coconut Perfume for our trips to Tulum and St Barth’s next month. It smells like the perfect vacation, making it seriously addictive. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

Hydrating Skin Essentials
New York winters are brutal, especially on your skin. Between indoor heating and the harsh windchill, keeping your skin hydrated is super challenging. Our go-to skin saviors are The Buff Clarify + Hydrate Facial Oil and Circumference’s In-Depth Hydration Face Mask. They immediately inject much-needed moisture into your skin, especially ahead of a sunny trip.

A Sexy High-Waisted Bikini
We won’t reveal our height, but let’s just say we’re not 6’! The best way to fake long legs at the beach? High waist, high cut swimsuits! We’re lusting over this one by Peony.

Sea Salt, For Your Hair
We’re forever craving beach waves, no matter what time of year. We love Playa’s Endless Summer Spray — it gives you that perfectly tousled hair texture you usually only get after a day at the beach.

 A Hot, Hot Workout
Ahead of our travels, we’ll be visiting our friends at Y7 for a heart pumping, sweaty yoga session. It’s the best way to prep your body and mind for the Caribbean’s delicious humidity!

about golden edit

Florencia Cavallo and Elise Labau Topaloglu are seasoned PR professionals with a combined 20 years experience in the fashion industry. Growing up by the water, travel has been a passion since a young age. They are born wanderlusters; explorers. Elise and Florencia met while working together in New York and with a shared interest for travel, culture and discovery, their relationship quickly evolved from coworkers to friends. Together, they set upon discovering unique treasures from their favorite destinations around the globe and in 2018, Golden Edit was born.
Florencia was born in Argentina and lived in Buenos Aires until her family moved to Australia when she was 12. Not knowing how to speak a word of English, she quickly immersed herself in the ‘Aussie’ culture and within months, English was second nature.
Her love of travel and style, balanced with her ambition and entrepreneurial drive, were the perfect combination for her to dream up the idea of Golden Edit. And so during a recent visit to South Australia, she was inspired to create an online platform that would offer summer essentials 365 days a year, for women who love following the sun as much as her.

Elise's story is not too different: she was born in the south of France and grew up surrounded by the turquoise waters of St Barths, a French-speaking Caribbean island, fostering her ever-lasting sense of wonder. She moved to the United States at an early age to study management and public relations, working for luxury lifestyle brand Calypso St Barth before moving to the agency side. Elise took a break to spend two years traveling around Turkey, before coming back to a New York public relations firm as a Vice President in fashion. She has extensive professional experience in the public relations industry, coupled with a passion for exceptional style. Elise and her family split their time between New York, St Barths, the Balearic Islands, Turkey, and Lake Como.
