TSS | 7 MUST-SEE SPOTS IN THE SOUTH OF FRANCE

Is it us or is every single person on Instagram in the South of France this summer? Whatever the case may be, it's a definite summer destination and one that we're desperate to get to. But we're staying put for the rest of this summer, so we enlisted the help of It-Girl and Select Guest, Marta Pozzan, who travels to Cannes every year for the glitziest film festival of all. Here, her 7 favorite spots in this playground for the rich, famous and ridiculously beautiful.

I just returned from my third time attending the Cannes Film Festival, and quite honestly it’s one of those trips of the year I’m the most excited about. This charming city in the South of France turns into a 24/7 premiere and party town where filmmakers from all over the world join forces to either promote their movies (if they’re in competition) or sell them to the distributors in town, closing deals on picturesque terraces with glasses of champagne in hand.  It's glamorous yet relaxed it's one of my very favorite places. Here are my favorite spots.

Best Restaurant for Lunch and Day Drinking: Le Californie
1 Square Mérimée, 06400 Cannes

I basically go here everyday when I’m in Cannes. They have the yummiest vegetable-based dishes (I love their artichoke) and their desserts are delish (especially the caramel eclair)!

Best Restaurant for Dinner: Le Maschou
15 Rue Saint-Antoine, 06400 Cannes
+33 4 93 39 62 21

Last year I went with a couple of Italian friends and we basically crashed Margot Robbie’s birthday party. The restaurant has only a few tables and it's super hard to find a spot, If you’re a meat lover that’s the place to go, it is super traditional French cuisine but since I’m a vegetarian, I only tried their veggies plates!

Best Happy Hour Spot: Terrace Albane
It’s one of the hidden gems in Cannes, only the locals and who’s there for the film festival know about this place. It is often booked to host beautiful private dinner parties and the view is just so magical.

Best Store: Projecteurs
135 Rue d'Antibes, 06400 Cannes
+33 4 93 38 38 04

The owner is originally from Russia and she has the best taste ever. Her selection includes Rochas, Giambattista Valli, MSGM, MM6 Margiela, Charlotte Olympia and many more cool designers.

Best Hotel (in Cannes): The Five Seas
1 Rue Notre Dame, 06400 Cannes
+33 4 63 36 05 05

I love this boutique hotel so much because i\it's full of charm and is much easier to get to than any of the other hotels on La Croisette, especially during the film festival. It’s super central, just behind the Grand Palais and it is very quiet and cozy. I love their little terrace for lunch and breakfast and the spa there is pretty cool, too.

Best hotel (in Antibes): Hotel du Cap
Boulevard J. F. Kennedy, 06601, Antibes
+33 4 93 61 39 01
It’s a must seen if you’re in the south of France. The Hotel Du Cap has hosted the famous Amfar for so many years and its become a second home for so many celebs. Its gardens and pools are  just so spectacular!

Best Event Venue (20 mins out of Cannes): Hangar H16
245 Avenue Francis Toner, 06150 Cannes
I was just there in May for Naomi Campbell's Fashion4Relief show. It’s a huge venue (a proper Hangar located in Mandelieu Airport) that’s been mostly used for major events and movie premieres.
