I don't know about you, but I'm having a serious love / hate relationship with Instagram Stories. I like to look at other people's, but I've been apprehensive about posting my own. Do I post everything all the time? Once a day? Once a week? How much is too much, how much is not enough? The answer is: I have no freakin clue. But it's a thing, so I'm winging it. And the very least I can do to reward you for slogging through the day to day of my life is to make it easy for you to shop from each weeks' stories. Have at it.

She was right, and I learned very quickly to never doubt her word or her intention, because both are rock solid. Widely known across the globe for her famous parents (Jayne Mansfield and Mickey Hargitay) and her even more famous portrayal of Detective Olivia Benson on Law & Order: SVU (which happens to be the most-watched show on television. I mean, I really suck (what's the most your suitcase has ever weighed? I win). I always wanted to be that person who could put 4 things into a carry-on and turn it into 12 days worth of outfits. I’m not sure why, and I didn’t even realize I did until I found myself spending two holidays in a row visiting three of them, all during the coldest and darkest periods of the year, making them that much more magical. Iceland was the first one we visited in December 2016, and this past January we chose Stockholm and Copenhagen as our dose of Scandinavian beauty. I know what you’re thinking: Why would I go to the coldest and darkest places during the coldest and darkest months? No, it’s not because I’m a cold and dark person. It’s because while I’m sure these places are spectacular in the summer, there is something truly mystical about them in the winter. To me, it’s when they really shine, when you feel they’re at their most authentic. The choice of Stockholm and Copenhagen was made solely based on the way they sound when you say them together. They just go. Does that make sense? And the truth is that they do go together. I loved each of them independently, but paired they made a whole lot of sense.
