As I’ve gotten (slightly) older, charity and the act of giving back takes on more of a priority. It doesn’t matter how, how much, when, or how frequently – but getting involved in something bigger than yourself is something that feeds the soul. I’m not one to preach, but Animal Haven, BCRF and ACRIA are a few I feel strongly about. Plus, getting a group of friends together and volunteering at a soup kitchen around the holidays has been a tradition I like to uphold. 


Animal Haven Shelter finds homes for abandoned cats and dogs in New York City and throughout the Tri-State area, and provides behavior intervention when needed to improve chances of adoption.


BCRF is a nonprofit organization committed to achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer. We provide critical funding for cancer research worldwide to fuel advances in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, metastasis and survivorship.


ACRIA envisions a world where all people with HIV receive the treatment, care, and support they need to lead healthy, productive lives and where new transmissions of the virus have been eliminated.
